Main Duties
Financial Auditors and Accountants perform some or all of the following duties:
- Examine journal entries, ledgers, bank statements, inventories, expenditures, and tax returns
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal-control systems
- Prepare audit reports and improvement recommendations
- Conduct field audits for compliance with Canadian legislation
- Supervise junior auditors or accounting staff
