Main Duties
Accounting and Related Clerks perform some or all of the following duties:
- Calculate, prepare, and issue financial documents such as invoices, inventory reports, and account statements
- Code, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile transactions including payroll, purchase orders, cheques, and bank statements
- Compile budget data based on estimated revenues, expenses, and previous budgets
- Prepare cost statements and financial reports
- Calculate material, overhead, and operating costs
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing issues
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, word processing, photocopying, and record maintenance
