• Conduct chromatography, spectroscopy, and other chemical analyses
• Operate pilot plants and laboratory equipment
• Maintain and support quality-control programs
• Assist in process-engineering and product development
• Perform environmental monitoring such as air and water testing
• Support pharmaceutical and biochemical synthesis processes
• Prepare chemical samples, reagents, and compounds
• Operate laboratory instruments and record analytical data
• Assist research, testing, and equipment fabrication processes
