Main Duties
Landscape and Horticulture Technicians and Specialists perform some or all of the following duties:
- Diagnose tree, plant, and shrub diseases and apply appropriate treatments
- Supervise maintenance of golf courses, parks, and landscaped areas
- Plan ornamental plant cultivation and landscaping programs
- Prepare site surveys, landscape drawings, and technical reports
- Construct and install landscaped environments and outdoor features
- Maintain lawns, gardens, and green spaces
- Assess turf health and apply fertilizers or pesticides
- Install patios, fences, irrigation systems, and other outdoor structures
