Construction Estimators perform some or all of the following duties:
- Prepare cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
- Analyze bids, quotations, specifications, and drawings
- Advise on tendering procedures and contract awards
- Develop cost-monitoring and reporting systems
- Prepare project forecasts and expenditure statements
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor directories
- Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and owners
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses
- Coordinate schedules and construction progress plans
