Main Duties
Licensed Practical Nurses perform some or all of the following duties:
- Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice
- Conduct patient assessments and implement care plans
- Take vital signs and apply aseptic techniques
- Monitor infection control procedures

- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
- Monitor respiratory and intravenous therapy
- Evaluate patient progress and collaborate with healthcare teams

- Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgical teams during procedures
- Monitor patient status during surgical procedures
- Clean and sterilize operating rooms and instruments
