Main Duties

Animal Health Technologists and Veterinary Technicians perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Restrain and monitor animals undergoing treatment or surgery
  • Produce radiographs and conduct laboratory tests
  • Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery
  • Administer and monitor anesthetics
