Dental Technologists and Technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
- Design, fabricate, modify, and repair dental devices
- Construct full and partial dentures
- Create crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, clasps, and implants
- Produce orthodontic appliances
- Follow laboratory infection control and hazardous material procedures
- Consult with dentists on complex cases
- Train and supervise laboratory assistants
- Conduct research in dental materials and techniques
- Perform administrative duties within dental laboratories
