Main Duties
Pharmacy Technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
- Maintain medication inventories and prescription records
- Review prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness
- Enter patient information and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision
- Compound pharmaceutical products such as injections, ointments, creams, and oral solutions
- Process prescription payments and insurance claims
- Provide instructions on the use of medical devices and medication aids
- Assist with pharmacy workflow coordination and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Maintain sterile compounding environments where required
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services
Employment Requirements
