Main Job Duties

Elementary and Secondary School Teacher Assistants perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Assist students with integration into classroom activities and school routines
  • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
  • Help students with special needs using sign language, Braille, or remedial techniques
  • Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities
  • Monitor and report student progress to teachers
