Main Duties

Bartenders perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Prepare and serve mixed drinks, wine, and draught or bottled beer
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from customers
  • Maintain inventory of bar supplies and order stock as required
  • Clean and sanitize bar areas and wash glassware
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements for responsible alcohol service, including checking identification
  • Provide customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
