Main Duties
Pursers and flight attendants perform some or all of the following duties:
- Greet passengers and demonstrate safety procedures such as emergency exits, oxygen masks, and life jackets
- Ensure cabin readiness and verify that all supplies and equipment are on board
- Monitor passenger safety during take-off, landing, and in-flight operations
- Serve food and beverages and make flight-related announcements
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
- Supervise and coordinate the work of flight or ship attendants (for pursers)
