Main Duties
Operators and attendants in amusement, recreation and sport perform some or all of the following duties:
- Set up, operate, and dismantle amusement rides and recreational equipment
- Assist patrons in using rides, sports equipment, and recreational facilities
- Monitor activities to ensure safety regulations are followed and patrons are protected
- Collect tickets and admit visitors to amusement parks, ski resorts, and sports facilities
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on rides and equipment
- Rent out recreational and sports equipment and maintain rental records
- Clean and maintain facilities such as pools, locker rooms, and sports courts
- Provide customer service and support in high-traffic tourism and recreation environments
