Main Duties

Operators and attendants in amusement, recreation and sport perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Set up, operate, and dismantle amusement rides and recreational equipment
  • Assist patrons in using rides, sports equipment, and recreational facilities
  • Monitor activities to ensure safety regulations are followed and patrons are protected
  • Collect tickets and admit visitors to amusement parks, ski resorts, and sports facilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on rides and equipment
