Main Duties

Supervisors in printing and related occupations perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers involved in printing production and finishing processes
  • Review and approve proofs and samples to ensure quality standards and client specifications are met
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve production-related issues to improve efficiency and product quality
  • Order materials and ensure printing presses and finishing equipment are properly maintained

  • Oversee digital and automated printing systems including color management technologies
  • Ensure production timelines meet fast turnaround requirements in modern print environments
