Main Duties

Auto body technicians and estimators perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Review damage reports and estimate repair costs and timelines
  • Repair and restore vehicle frames using computerized alignment and pulling equipment
  • Replace or repair damaged components such as panels, bumpers, and structural parts
  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, and applying fillers
  • Mix and apply paint using advanced spray systems and color-matching technologies
  • Inspect vehicles and coordinate repairs with insurance companies
  • Repair and replace windshields, glass, and interior components
  • Calibrate ADAS sensors and cameras after repairs to ensure vehicle safety systems function properly

Employment Requirements
