Main Duties

Trappers and hunters perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Set traps and use firearms to harvest fur-bearing animals or game during regulated seasons
  • Skin, stretch, and cure pelts to meet industry quality standards

  • Maintain trapping lines, equipment, snowmobiles, and remote cabins

  • Transport harvested animals or pelts to processing or auction facilities
