Main Duties
Logging and forestry labourers perform some or all of the following duties:
- Attach cables (chokers) to felled logs for transportation to loading areas
- Assist in clearing brush, debris, and trails to maintain safe logging operations
- Support sorting, piling, and loading logs onto trucks or into water transport systems
- Clean and maintain logging tools, chain saws, and camp equipment
- Assist in minor repairs of forestry equipment and machinery

- Monitor sites for fire hazards and assist in forest fire prevention and suppression
- Work closely with machine operators and forestry teams in woodland operations
