Main Duties

Supervisors in forest products processing perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule workers operating sawmills, pulp and paper mills, and wood treatment plants

  • Monitor equipment performance and oversee maintenance and repair activities

  • Prepare production, safety, and personnel reports for management
  • Oversee implementation of automated and digital production systems in forestry operations
