Main Duties

Central control and process operators in mineral and metal processing perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Operate and monitor multi-function central control systems used to grind, separate, filter, melt, and refine mineral ores
  • Observe computer displays, gauges, and process indicators to maintain optimal production conditions
  • Adjust processing parameters to ensure product quality and efficiency
