Main Duties

Process control and machine operators in food and beverage processing perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Operate multi-function process control machinery through computerized systems to grind, mix, cook, extract, or package food and beverage products
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor food and beverage processing machines for specific production runs
  • Control automated systems for pasteurization, fermentation, baking, bottling, and packaging processes

  • Identify and clear machine blockages or minor operational faults
  • Record production data including quantity, weight, size, and processing times
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and basic machine adjustments

  • Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
