Main Duties

Electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors and testers perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Assemble electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits onto printed circuit boards
  • Operate automated assembly equipment including SMT pick-and-place machines and wave soldering systems
  • Perform precision soldering and component placement using hand tools and microscopes
  • Inspect electronic assemblies for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Test and calibrate electronic products using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test equipment (ATE)
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty components or circuit boards
  • Monitor production processes and ensure proper functioning of automated systems
  • Maintain clean-room standards and follow strict quality and safety protocols
  • Use advanced tools such as AR-assisted systems for complex assembly and diagnostics
