Main Duties
Electronics assemblers, fabricators, inspectors and testers perform some or all of the following duties:
- Assemble electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and integrated circuits onto printed circuit boards
- Operate automated assembly equipment including SMT pick-and-place machines and wave soldering systems
- Perform precision soldering and component placement using hand tools and microscopes
- Inspect electronic assemblies for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Test and calibrate electronic products using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test equipment (ATE)
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty components or circuit boards
- Monitor production processes and ensure proper functioning of automated systems
- Maintain clean-room standards and follow strict quality and safety protocols
- Use advanced tools such as AR-assisted systems for complex assembly and diagnostics
