Main Duties

Mechanical assemblers and inspectors perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Assemble and install prefabricated mechanical parts and components using hand and power tools
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for assembly processes
  • Align and connect mechanical systems including hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Operate cranes and automated equipment to position heavy machinery parts
  • Inspect finished assemblies using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Test machinery performance to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards
  • Troubleshoot mechanical defects and perform corrective adjustments
  • Maintain production records and ensure adherence to safety procedures
  • Use digital systems and AR tools to support assembly and quality assurance processes
